It seems to me that everyday we call each other by different terms of endearment. As a child of the 90's It was all about sis and bro, and dude and dudette. Over the last five years I have noticed my friends go from calling me Girlfriend to Trina, to Muffin, to Tunechi.
Here is a list of the most commonly used terms of endearment. (and their abbreviations)
-Nugget (nug). Typically describes someone or something that is small and precious, possibly bite sized.
-Precious( presh). Someone or something that is cute and adorable.
-Muffin (muff). Also an adorable person or thing, has evolved to describe all bosom friends.
-Bia. A derivation of the word bitch. A term of an endearment used when someone is being sassy.
-Tunechi. A friend who has the swagger of Lil Wayne.
-Betch or Betchez. A humorous term for your girls. Your partners in crime. Your BFFs.
-Slore. Not a personal favorite. The combination of Slut and a Whore that is also one of your nearest and dearest. Typically not meant in a derogatory way, but with girls you never know.
-Gurl or Gurlz. A slightly sarcastic term to describe a friend.
-Sweet Girl, a more formal term for someone who is sweet, probably younger than you.
-Pretty Girl, some one who is theoretically pretty, but you may just be kissing their ass.
